    Built in 2015, this custom hill country home is the perfect vacation home for you and your family/friends!  “SOUTHERN COMFORT” is located in the gated community of Heartstone with private river access a short distance from the home.  The 4 bedroom/4.5 bath home sleeps up to 24 people.  The home has two master suites (downstairs) and two living areas, one of which is located upstairs (large TV) and opens to a private covered balcony.  The outdoor amenities include a large covered patio; a new covered cabana/outdoor TV; safety fenced private swimming pool; fire pit; sand volleyball court; and basketball hoop.
    PHOTOS FOR THE BEDROOMS DO NOT INCLUDE THE NEW BEDDING – SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS BELOW ARE CORRECT AND AS WE HAVE NEW PHOTOS OF THE BEDS WE WILL UPDATE.  The roomy bedrooms each have private closets and bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen has 2 ovens and extra large island for all those cooks to enjoy.  The kitchen bar is perfect for sharing one of those Frio River meals!  So much food! No worries on storage, there is a large walk in pantry and 2nd refrigerator located in the double car garage, just off the kitchen.  Granite counters throughout the home.

Check in will be at our office located at 289 County Road 348, Concan, TX 78838.  Keys and map will be given to you at that time.
This is a gated subdivision and requires a PRIVATE GATE CODE that will be given to you at check in.

Be sure to read the “WHAT TO BRING” link.  We do not provide linens, towels, or expendable items.

Fully furnished kitchen (complete with pots/pans/dishes/silverware/cooking utensils/ glasses) coffee pot, blender, toaster, griddle, crock pot, microwave, 2 ovens, 3 refrigerators (kitchen, garage, cabana), dishwasher, full size washer and dryer, central heat and air conditioning.  Ceiling fans are located throughout the house. Large concrete driveway with use of the secured 2 car garage.  Extra parking is available in the gravel lot designated by the subdivision.  WiFi internet; DVD player located in game room upstairs. Outdoors there is a beach entry/safety fenced private swimming pool with pool furniture; extra table and seating on covered back patio; large fire pit; sand volleyball court; basketball hoop located on the driveway. Large BBQ pit with fire box is located between the back patio and cabana area.  The new cabana is under construction (Fall 2018) and will include a TV/seating bar/ refrigerator.  Photos will be posted as soon as they are available.
Need more room??  Our rental property HIGH LIFE is directly across the street and ROLLING ROCK is across the street just a short walk away.

From the Houston area :  Take I-10 West towards San Antonio.  In San Antonio as you travel west on I-10 stay to the left to remain on US Hwy 90 west to Sabinal

From the Dallas-Ft Worth area : Take I-35 South to Austin

From the Austin area :  Take US 290 West to Fredericksburg.  In Fredericksburg take Hwy 16 South towards  Kerrville.  At I-10 turn right and go West on I-10 to Hwy 41.  Take Hwy 41 West to US Hwy 83.  Take US Hwy 83 South to Leakey.

From El Paso : Take I-10 E towards San Antonio.  Go past Junction and take US Hwy 83 south to Leakey

From Corpus : Take I-37 N towards San Antonio.  At San Antonio take exit 139 to merge onto I-10 WestUS 87 North/US 90 West toward El Paso.  Stay in the left lane to remain on US Hwy 90 west to Sabinal.

From San Antonio : Take Hwy 90 West to Sabinal

From Sabinal :    In Sabinal, at the light, take a right on to HWY 127. It is approximately 20 miles to Concan. You will cross over the 1st Frio River crossing at Neal’s Lodges.  On your right there will be the Concan Visitor’s Center, the Post Office, and First State Bank of Uvalde.  The next RIGHT will be County Road 348 (locals will refer to it as River Road).  You will be turning just before “Andy’s on River Road” (store and tube rentals).  Drive past Andy’s parking lot and campground (on your left).  Our office is located approximately 1,000 yards from Hwy 127.  As the road makes a sharp curve to the right, our paved parking lot will be on the left. Physical address is 289 County Road 348, Concan, TX 78838.  GPS does not work well in these hills – poor signal! If you follow GPS, the directions will take you about 2 miles passed our office.  Some times it works, and sometimes it doesn’t.  We recommend that you NOT depend on GPS.

Our office building is cedar stained and has a long, country porch – above the porch as large signs of “Frio River Vacation Rentals” & “Frio River Realty”. 

Additional directions from Leakey & Uvalde : Country Road 348 “River Road” is one large horseshoe.  The northern part of the road is between CR 350 and Hwy 127.  When coming from the south on Hwy 83 (from Uvalde), when you get to the flashing light in Concan, please take a right.  County Road 348 will be first intersection to the left and just passed “Andy’s on River Road”.

When coming from the north on Hwy 83, (Leakey area) please go passed the first County Road 348 sign and continue driving to Concan.  You will turn left onto Hwy 127, then less than ¼ mile you will turn left onto County Road 348 (the southern entrance of the road).  Our office is on the left just after the first sharp turn to the right.
