   “DOUBLE SHOTZ” is one of the newest homes in the Concan Country Club subdivision.  This premier custom built Hill Country home sleeps 28 in beds.  The spacious 5 bedroom, 4 ½ bath home will be perfect for your Frio River vacation.  There are 3 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths downstairs with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 full bath upstairs.  The open floor plan which includes the kitchen, dining room, and great room.  This space will give you ample space for your family and friends to enjoy.  For your convenience, each of the downstairs bedrooms have a door that leads to the outdoor patio.  Remember, this is the “SISTER” home of “WHISKEY RIO”!  Please look at our website to preview “WHISKEY RIO” and you will see the quality of home “DOUBLE SHOTZ” will be!

Outdoors you can enjoy the large covered porch, swimming pool, and outdoor kitchen/cabana.  The outdoor area features 2 TV’s for music and sporting events throughout the year.  The big bonus to the outdoor area will be the playground for the kids.  Sand volleyball and tetherball will also be available for everyone to enjoy.  This home also features a “gaming” room for kids to enjoy their video games.

The Concan Country Club allows electric golf carts in the subdivision.  “DOUBLE SHOTZ” is located in the golf course area, which makes it easy for those golf lovers to play a game of golf.  The Pro Shop and The House Pasture Restaurant/Texas music venue is just a few minutes and short drive away from “DOUBLE SHOTZ”. 

The clear waters of the Frio River are less than a 10 minute drive to public access – 7 Bluff Crossing or Kenneth Arthur Crossing.  We appreciate your patience in getting photos updated as they become available.

  • Central heat & air, full size clothes washer and dryer, dishwasher, 2 full size refrigerators, and 1 small bar refrigerator. Small appliances to include microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, and small electric griddle.  Basic kitchen needs which include pots/pans, bakeware, eating, cooking utensils, and glassware.  If you have a special pot or pan you like to cook in, please bring it.  We try to equip your rental with most needs, but it is basic.
  • Outdoors there is a large covered patio, outdoor/kitchen/cabana, charcoal BBQ pit, propane (provided) Hibachi griddle, patio table, comfortable seating, bar stools, lounge chairs, & other extra seating.  The children will have a wonderful playground to enjoy while the adults who want to stay young can enjoy tetherball and sand volleyball.
  • PUBLIC RIVER ACCESS – short car drive – less than 10 minutes

Check in is at our office 289 County Road 348, Concan, TX.  We will give you map and keys to your rental property after paperwork is signed by the person making the reservation.

Directions

From the Houston area :  Take I-10 West towards San Antonio.  In San Antonio as you travel west on I-10 stay to the left to remain on US Hwy 90 west to Sabinal

From the Dallas-Ft Worth area : Take I-35 South to Austin

From the Austin area :  Take US 290 West to Fredericksburg.  In Fredericksburg take Hwy 16 South towards  Kerrville.  At I-10 turn right and go West on I-10 to Hwy 41.  Take Hwy 41 West to US Hwy 83.  Take US Hwy 83 South to Leakey.

From El Paso : Take I-10 E towards San Antonio.  Go past Junction and take US Hwy 83 south to Leakey

From Corpus : Take I-37 N towards San Antonio.  At San Antonio take exit 139 to merge onto I-10 WestUS 87 North/US 90 West toward El Paso.  Stay in the left lane to remain on US Hwy 90 west to Sabinal.

From San Antonio : Take Hwy 90 West to Sabinal

From Sabinal :    In Sabinal, at the light, take a right on to HWY 127. It is approximately 20 miles to Concan. You will cross over the 1st Frio River crossing at Neal’s Lodges.  On your right there will be the Concan Visitor’s Center, the Post Office, and First State Bank of Uvalde.  The next RIGHT will be County Road 348 (locals will refer to it as River Road).  You will be turning just before “Andy’s on River Road” (store and tube rentals).  Drive past Andy’s parking lot and campground (on your left).  Our office is located approximately 1,000 yards from Hwy 127.  As the road makes a sharp curve to the right, our paved parking lot will be on the left. Physical address is 289 County Road 348, Concan, TX 78838.  GPS does not work well in these hills – poor signal! If you follow GPS, the directions will take you about 2 miles passed our office.  Some times it works, and sometimes it doesn’t.  We recommend that you NOT depend on GPS.

Our office building is cedar stained and has a long, country porch – above the porch as large signs of “Frio River Vacation Rentals” & “Frio River Realty”. 

Additional directions from Leakey & Uvalde : Country Road 348 “River Road” is one large horseshoe.  The northern part of the road is between CR 350 and Hwy 127.  When coming from the south on Hwy 83 (from Uvalde), when you get to the flashing light in Concan, please take a right.  County Road 348 will be first intersection to the left and just passed “Andy’s on River Road”.

When coming from the north on Hwy 83, (Leakey area) please go passed the first County Road 348 sign and continue driving to Concan.  You will turn left onto Hwy 127, then less than ¼ mile you will turn left onto County Road 348 (the southern entrance of the road).  Our office is on the left just after the first sharp turn to the right.
